VISITING OUR LUTOSA COMPANY IN LEUZE-EN-HAINAUT (BELGIUM)
Lutosa offers the opportunity to find out about its activities during a visit to its production site at Leuze-en-Hainaut, in Belgium, with booking in advance using the registration form below.
Only possible in Leuze-en-Hainaut; not in Sint-Eloois-Vijve, not at Pinguin in Westrozebeke/Langemark.
Target audience
This highly informative visit is targeted to associations and school children from secondary school (from 4th year onwards), as well as undergraduate and graduate students with a major in science and technology (energy, mechanics, logistics...), business or agriculture, supervised by their teaching staff.
In this regard, you will find it very useful to look closely at our website.
About the programme
The full visit lasts an average of 3 hours. It starts with a look at a potato storage silo, followed by a detailed presentation of the Lutosa group and an educational video illustrating the manufacturing process. You will then visit one of our facilities manufacturing and packaging frozen French fries.
The facility in question is one of the most modern and efficient of its type in the world, meeting the highest hygiene standards and featuring an extremely high level of automation.
The circuit involves a walk of around 1 km, part of it in the open air, with several sets of stairs.
For convenience and health and safety reasons, we recommend that you wear flat, closed-toe, non-slip shoes, as well as appropriate clothing. At the end, there will be a tasting of Belgian fries.
Availability
Visits to our facilities take place from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. and are conducted in French or Dutch by a guide specially trained to host school groups.
Special visits with a product tasting session led by our R&D Manager are also arranged for all hotel schools (final year students). For organisational reasons, these are only available on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon.
Please also note that visits are suspended between 15 June and 15 October (annual holidays followed by the potato harvest and storage period), as well as on public holidays and during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Terms of participation
The visit is free of charge.
We accept groups with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 people (including escorts). If your group is bigger than this, we suggest that you split it and alternate with visits to other companies or museums in the area.
